ONOE a hidden agenda for One Person, One Party rule in country: Revanth Reddy

At Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters, Telangana CM Outlines Vision 2050 and Criticizes Modi’s Policies

Thiruvananthapuram: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy on Sunday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led centre, calling the ‘One Nation, One Election’ initiative a rhetoric for “One Person, One Party” rule in the country.

Speaking at the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters in Thiruvananthapuram, the CM stressed the need for southern states' unity to protect fundamental rights.
Raising concerns on parliamentary constituency delimitation, Reddy stated that the attempt could reduce the political influence of the South. He also vented out frustration and asked if the centre is punishing southern states for implementing better welfare schemes.
Telangana Rising: Vision 2050
At the festival, Revanth Reddy revealed his government’s ambitions to transform Telangana into a global economic hub.
He stated that 'Telangana Rising' is not just a slogan but the dream of four crore people.
'We aim to take state's GDP to $1 trillion by 2035, which is currently at $200 billion,' he said. The BRS-regime failed to fulfill their promises and people's aspirations during their 10 year rule, Reddy added.
He also stressed on the development of Hyderabad as a global city, competing not just with Mumbai or Delhi but with New York, London, Singapore, and Tokyo.
"We are building a future city with 30,000-acre land, which will be India's greenest, cleanest and best city. It would be country's first net-zero city with focus on AI, clean energy, and sustainable urban planning," the CM said.
"If Telangana transforms into a trillion dollar economy will it not be an asset to the country?" he questioned.
"The centre is not supporting all the states equally, specially the southern states. The BJP-led centre is not extending any support to opposition-run states," he concluded.
