Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Friday called upon industrialists to join hands with Telangana government and invest in the State to create wonders together.

The State government’s vision is to strengthen Telangana’s economy and ensure that the markets function without hurdles. “We are inviting all to invest in Telangana. Let us create wonders together,” he said after inaugurating the CII national council meeting here. He said the State government was creating an ecosystem with the highest ease of doing business not only in India but also in the world.

“Telangana completed 10 years of achieving Statehood. We have a dream to develop Telangana on all fronts and it is Telangana Rising,” he explained, stating that the State government envisaged plans to develop Future City in Hyderabad, which will compete with New York, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Dubai etc.

“We want to build a great city in India which would be dedicated to the service sector. Our aim is to promote Future City as a pollution-free net zero city,” he said.

A fleet of 3,200 EV buses will be added to the TSRTC soon. Registration and road tax are exempted for electric vehicles. Telangana already registered the fastest sale of electric vehicles in India. Hyderabad is being developed to deal with natural disasters and the State government’s aim was to make Hyderabad a flood-free city.

Revanth Reddy said the Musi Rejuvenation project would revive the water body and facilitate the flow of fresh water on a 55 km stretch in Hyderabad. The government has already started work to meet Hyderabad’s drinking water needs till 2050.

Referring to the upcoming Regional Ring Road (RRR), he said that the government was constructing RRR on a 360-km stretch and plans have been drawn up to develop a regional ring railway around RRR. Radial roads connecting ORR and RRR were also being developed, he said.

The area between ORR and RRR will be developed as a hub for the manufacturing sector. Pharma, Life Sciences, Aerospace, Defense, EVs and solar industries will be set up.

Revanth Reddy said the State government was focusing on skills and job creation. “We are moving forward with a strategy to make Hyderabad a plus city for China in the world. Focusing on developing agriculture, organic farming, apart from setting up cold storages and warehouses etc., outside ORR in rural areas in Telangana,” he said.

Since Telangana does not have a coastline, the government is planning to develop a dry port. A special road and railway connectivity with the Bandar port in Andhra Pradesh is also planned.
