Nizamabad: Group-II examinations were conducted peacefully in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts on Sunday, with participation falling below 50 per cent of registered candidates.
In Nizamabad district, 19,855 candidates registered for the recruitment examination. However, only 9,070 candidates attended the morning session and 9,020 participated in the afternoon session, resulting in approximately 10,835 absentees.
Similarly, in Kamareddy district, out of 8,085 registered candidates for the Group-II recruitment examination, only 3,971 appeared in the morning session and 3,017 attended the afternoon session. During the examinations, police imposed restrictions under Section 144. Candidates arriving even one minute late were denied entry into the examination centres.
