Painter honey-trapped by brother's wife, killed in Gulbarga
Hyderabad: A 26-year-old painter from Old City, who was allegedly sexually harassing his elder brother’s wife, was laid into a honey-trap by his brother’s wife and murdered in a village in Gulbarga district of Karnataka.
The accused, Razia Sultana, accompanied by her husband, lodged a missing person’s complaint in the city. She reportedly confessed that she was sexually harassed by Mohamed Salman Shaik. She along with her uncle and three others hatched a plan to eliminate Salman. As part of her plan, she persuaded him to go along with her to her native place in Gulbarga, police disclosed.
According to Bhavaninagar Inspector M Balaswamy, the victim was staying at his elder brother Mohammad Ferroz Sharif’s (36) house in Barkas. Salman had developed extramarital relations with Razia, a mother of two, and later blackmailed her into keeping physical relation with her.
On June 10, Razia went along with Salman Shareef in a car to her native place in Gulbarga stating that she wanted to visit her son who studies in Madarsa, police said. After reaching there, she asked Salman to accompany her with her son and uncle, Illahi in the car. On the way, Ilahi
along with three others who joined them later, strangulated Salman who was driving the car. After ensuring his death, they threw his body in a reservoir. Razia, after the murder returned to Hyderabad on June 14.
