Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan meets his fan in Hanumakonda on Wednesday.
ADILABAD: Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday met Ponugoti Niranjan, 17, alias Gabbar Singh of Hanamkonda, who was reported to be suffering from a rare disease.
Heavy security from the Telananga police was evident for Pawan Kalyan’s tour of Hanamkonda.
Niranjan was an ardent fan who regularly watched Pawan Kalyan’s movies. Nirajan has been bedridden for the last three years with the affliction of a rare disease -- Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy—that stopped his body growth and he looked like a child.
Niranjan is the son of Ponugoti Ramu and Manasa, a couple living in Pegadapalli Dabbal in Hanamkonda in Greater Warangal. The locals call Niranjan ‘Gabbar Singh’ since he has been a fan of Pawan Kalyan, the hero in that movie.
The deputy CM visited Niranjan’s house in Hanamkonda and spent some time with him, enquired about his health and his hobbies, and interacted with the family members. He also visited the Bhadrakali temple and performed puja.
Kalyan thanked chief minister Revanth Reddy and the Telangana police for their help during his Hanamkonda and Warangal tour. He thanked the people of Telangana for showing their love and affection towards him and said he was always inspired by the love and affection and blessing of the Telangana people.
The AP deputy CM wished for the early recovery of Nirajan with blessings from Lord Venkateshwara Swamy and Bhadrakali. “I wish to see Niranjan in good health and happy, recovering from the rare disease soon,” he stated.
