Peddapalli Collector Suspends Tahsildar Office Assistant for Negligence
The collector said action would be taken against government employees found negligent in discharge of duties

KARIMNAGAR: District collector Koya Sri Harsha on Monday suspended K. Chiranjeevi, a record assistant at the Kamanpur mandal tahsildar office in Peddapalli district, on charges of negligence and dereliction of duty.
According to the order, the employee was found frequently absent without prior intimation. He also allegedly failed to respond to official calls and did not acknowledge memos issued by superiors seeking an explanation. The collector stated that the conduct reflected lack of responsibility in public service.
The suspension was initiated under the Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules to enable a departmental inquiry. The order, which takes immediate effect, bars the official from leaving headquarters without prior permission during the inquiry.
