POCSO Case Against Four Teachers
Kamareddy: Nizamsagar police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against four teachers of a local school following allegations of sexual abuse. The victims, unable to endure the harassment, reported the issue to their parents, leading to police involvement.
Meanwhile, the school staff met district collector Ashish Sangwan and submitted a memorandum denying the allegations, claiming they were baseless. The collector directed the Children Welfare Committee (CWC) to investigate the matter. Upon inquiry, the allegations were found to be credible, prompting the CWC to file a formal complaint with the police.
Police confirmed the registration of the case and stated that an investigation is underway. A senior officer told Deccan Chronicle that no details of the case will be disclosed due to its sensitive nature, assuring that appropriate action will be taken.
