Police arrested three persons in connection with a brutal double murder case on Thursday. The accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar Saket (26), Raj Kumar Saket (22), Sukhendra Kumar Saket (30).
Hyderabad: Police arrested three persons in connection with a brutal double murder case on Thursday. The accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar Saket (26), Raj Kumar Saket (22), Sukhendra Kumar Saket (30). The police seized their mobile phones as well as those belonging to the deceased.According to the police, the accused are being produced before the local court to obtain transit warrants.
Investigations revealed that the deceased woman, who had recently become a sex worker, had been staying with acquaintances, Rahul Kumar Saket had engaged her services twice and attempted to record a video of their private moments. When the woman objected, she set him away and reported the incident to the second victim, Ankith, who subsequently warned Rahul kumar Saket to stay away. Following heated arguments, Rahul kumar Saket conspired to kill Ankith and enlisted the help of Raj Kumar Saket and Sukhendra Kumar Saket.
On January 11, 2025, Rahul kumar Saket arranged to meet the woman again through Ankith, offering ₹4,000. All five traveled together in an auto-rickshaw to the crime scene. Once reached there, Rahul kumar Saket and Raj Kumar Saket lured Ankith away from the group. They attacked him, stabbing him and striking him with a boulder until he succumbed to his injuries.
During the altercation, both Rahul kumar Saket and Raj Kumar Saket sustained injuries. The duo then returned to where the woman was with Sukhendra Kumar Saket and killed her using a boulder.
The three accused fled the scene and returned to their native places in the early hours of January 12, 2025.
