Police ban drones in Alwal for 5 days
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty banned flying of remotely controlled drones or para-gliders or remotely controlled micro-light aircrafts near important buildings and key installations in view of President Draupadi Murmu’s stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad from December 17 to 21 as part of the traditional year end southern sojourn.
Flying activities will be prohibited within a radius of five kilometres from the State Secretariat Complex and two kilometers around strategic vital installations like the defence area in Alwal police station limits under BNS sections 147, 148, 289, 125,125(a),125 (B).
“To avoid any terrorist or antisocial elements by the use of para-gliders, remote controlled drones, remote controlled micro-light aircraft may endanger and breach of peace to public tranquility,” Mohanty said.
Additionally, traffic police released an advisory cautioning the slow movement on Tuesday evening hours with the President travelling to Rashtrapati Nilayam. The expected congestion is from 4.30 to 8 pm from ORR Exit 7 towards Hakimpet via BITS Junction, Thumukunta Village and Hakimpet. Public are advised to pick alternate routes and make changes accordingly.
