Hyderabad: Investigation agencies are set to submit a comprehensive report on IAS officer D. Amoy Kumar in connection with a land allotment irregularities case. When the BRS was in power, Kumar reportedly allotted valuable land to individuals and businessmen at cheap prices.
The Enforcement Directorate has submitted its preliminary report on Kumar's violations in land allotments at different places to DGP Dr Jitender a few days back.
Sources said that the investigation agency, which grilled Kumar several times, reportedly found that the bureaucrat had violating rules in land allotments in Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts when he was collector, supposedly under pressure from political leaders.
The agencies have obtained records from revenue officials and the stamps, registration department in analysing the lands details, value of lands and market price at the time of their allotment to select few businessmen.
"Based on the reports, the government is likely to initiate action," sources said.
In a related development, the state Bhoodan Yagna board served notices to several occupants who had obtained lands when Kumar was the collector of Ranga Reddy district. The board also asked them to surrender the land forthwith.
