Hyderabad CP holds meeting to ensure peaceful Ganesh, Milad-Un-Nabi festivals

Hyderabad: To ensure peaceful 'Ganesh' festival and 'Milad-Un-Nabi’ celebrations, the city police commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, on Monday held an interaction with all sub-inspectors of police, law and order, traffic at TGC&CC, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

During the meeting, Sreenivasa Reddy directed the police officers to adopt certain time tested practices and habits like punctuality, honesty, work ethics, priority to petitioners, having sympathy, and empathy towards the public and improve the image of the police department.

The participants are all very young officers and they have a long way to go in service and with hard work and dedication many of them will also have the chance of becoming SP rank officers and even some of them might go up to IPS rank, said Sreenivasa Reddy.

The sub-inspectors have a very crucial role and they should do proper time management and prioritize their work and give importance to all the fields of policing like crime prevention and detection, bandobast duties, VVIP visits and implementing station house routine, so that the core policing is improved, the commissioner said during the meeting.

The commissioner further gave directions to the officers to involve themselves in all aspects of the forthcoming 'Ganesh' festival 2024 and 'Milad-Un-Nabi' festival and take steps to have close coordination with the organizers, peace committee all other departments and ensure foolproof arrangements by visiting the pandals and immersion sites as police department has to take lead in ensuring a peaceful and successful festival bandobust.

Senior police officers Vikram Singh Mann, Addl. CP, L&O, P. Viswa Prasad, Addl. CP, traffic, Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, Jt. CP, admin, Shilpavalli, IPS DCP, SMIT, S. Chaitanya Kumar, SB, and about 300 sub inspectors from city law and order and traffic police attended the meeting, a press release issued by city police commissioner stated.
