Ponguleti Wants Works Done Before Monsoon

Khammam: In a bid to enhance rural connectivity, revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed officials on Sunday to complete construction works, including cement concrete roads before the onset of the monsoon season. He stressed that improved road connectivity is pivotal for regional development, particularly in remote areas.
The minister emphasised that development works must be finalised prior to the rains, with no compromise on quality. He called on officials to submit proposals for additional CC road requirements in any village, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to bolstering rural infrastructure alongside basic amenities.
Laying the foundation stone for a CC road at Edulapuram, the minister highlighted projects underway — from Gurralapadu to Kotha Narayanapuram at a cost of Rs 2.85 crore to Venkagiri to Khammam at Rs 2.4 crore.
Key officials, including superintendent of engineer (roads and buildings) Hemalatha, panchayat raj executive engineer Venkat Reddy, and municipal commissioner A. Srinivas Reddy, were present during the event.
