Hyderabad: As part of the Centre’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative the Telangana Postal Circle will sell National Flags at all 6,214 post offices in the state’s 33 districts. Citizens can also buy flags online through the postal department’s website, with delivery guaranteed by August 14.
The National Flag, each measuring 20 inches by 30 inches, will be sold at ₹25. Customers can buy up to five flags online, with doorstep delivery included at no extra cost.
The postal department is deploying staff to educate the people regarding the Flag code and proper handling of the Tricolour. A statement said extensive outreach campaigns will be conducted to raise awareness about the significance of the National Flag and to inspire a deeper sense of patriotism.
