Adilabad: The postal department here on Tuesday rejoiced as one of its staff Pothi Reddy Siva Reddy, a postal assistant at the head post office, was part of the Indian Kho--Kho Team that won the Kho-Kho World Cup 2025 defeating Nepal at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on January 19.
The Kho-Kho Federation of India conducted the World Cup which was participated by 21 countries. He played a key role in the Indian team’s winning in the final match against Nepal.
Siva Reddy was in the Indian Kho-Kho coaching camp for last few months and represented the country in the World Cup. He was selected as the best attacker and got a job in the postal department under the sports quota. He represented the department in national and international matches.
A native of Edara village of Prakasam in Andhra Pradesh, Siva Reddy bagged one international and 34 national medals.
In the Kho-Kho World Cup, he represented the Indian team on behalf of the Postal Department and began at a senior-level entry in Kho-Kho in 2018.
Superintendent of post offices, Adilabad, Devireddy Siddartha and asst superintendent Lavkush Parthe and postmaster G. Gangadhar congratulated Siva Reddy for his feat and bringing laurels to the postal department.
