Hyderabad: The growth of Hyderabad as a global city will pose new challenges in ensuring foolproof security and there was a need for a review of current security systems and measures, said Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, the city police commissioner and chairman for Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC). He unveiled the logo of the upcoming national physical security summit 2024 to be held on August 30 at the TG-Integrated Command and Control Centre (TG-ICCC) on Wednesday.
The HCSC is conducting this event in collaboration with the Association of Private Security Agencies and the theme of the event is- The Evolutionary Aspects of Physical Security in the Digital Era. “Today, the role of private security has become increasingly important and the sector is currently undergoing a transformation to effectively tackle the challenges of this digital age. The summit will bring together leaders, experts and advocates to foster dialogue on creating safer environments,” Sreenivasa Reddy said.
“The physical security summit 2024 will have a series of panel discussions that discuss the rapidly changing landscape of physical security. Experts from corporate security, law enforcement and educational institutions will share their insights on the challenges and opportunities in adapting to these changes,” said Vikram Singh Mann, additional commissioner (law and order) and the HCSC convener.

These private firms also need to be integrated into overall security systems.
The private sector shall adopt security practices of global standards to meet the growing challenges.
