HYDERABAD: "It is time to integrate science and technology in environmental monitoring and using remote sensing and GIS technology to monitor deforestation, land use changes, and water resources,” said A. Vani Prasad, Telangana Pollution Control Board principal secretary for environment, forests and science & technology department, on the occasion of World Environment Day at the TGPCB auditorium.

She went on to say, “There is a need for establishing waste recycling centres, promoting circular economy models offering holistic approach for sustainable development and encouraging positive action to promote vegetation through the State Action Plan for combating climate change and promoting solar energy and to conserve nature.”
