Rahul Urges Revanth to Expedite Rescue Ops
Rahul Gandhi appreciated the steps that were being taken and asked the government to leave no stone unturned to rescue all the workers who have been trapped.

Hyderabad: Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday called up Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to inquire about the status of the rescue operations at the SLBC tunnel.
Rahul Gandhi appreciated the steps that were being taken and asked the government to leave no stone unturned to rescue all the workers who have been trapped.
During the 30-minute conversation, Reddy spoke of the urgency with which the government had responded immediately after getting the news and having rushed ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupally Krishna Reddy to the spot, where they are monitoring the rescue operations, apart from deploying NRDF and SRDF squads.
The Chief Minister elaborated on the medical relief being extended to the injured and reaching out to the families of the workers trapped inside.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister asked Uttam Kumar Reddy to expedite rescue operations by taking precautionary measures. He urged Nagarkurnool district officials to keep updating him about rescue operations that are underway. He was told that more than 300 personnel were coordinating with NDRF and state DRF teams and Army personnel.
Revanth Reddy enquired about the persons trapped inside the tunnel. The officials said that they had cleared water and mud from the place to speed up rescue operations, which continued into the night.
