Summer showers in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad Meteorological Center attributes the rainfall to cumulonimbus clouds and forecasts light to moderate showers to continue in the city today.

Hyderabad: The city is experiencing rainfall across several areas, bringing cooler weather since morning, though the rain began recently. Heavy downpours are occurring in Miyapur and Gachibowli, while light showers are reported in Medchal, Gagillapur, and surrounding regions. Waterlogging has been reported on roads in SR Nagar, Punjagutta, Jubilee Hills, and Banjara Hills due to the rain.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Center attributes the rainfall to cumulonimbus clouds and forecasts light to moderate showers to continue in the city today. The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy for the next 48 hours. The center also warned of potential hailstorms, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds across the state over the next three days, with wind speeds likely reaching 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
Specific alerts have been issued for today, with indications of hailstorms, thunder, lightning, and gusty winds in Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mulugu, and Jayashankar Bhupalapally districts. Yellow warnings have already been issued for these areas. Tomorrow (April 11), Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, and Nalgonda districts are expected to experience light to moderate rain, according to the Hyderabad Meteorological Center.
