Raja Singh slams State Govt. for permitting staff to leave early to offer prayers

Congress Govt. indulging in appeasement politics, says Raja Singh

Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA T Raja Singh here on Tuesday slammed the Congress government in Telangana for resorting to appeasement politics and allowing people from a particular community to leave early for offering special prayers.

In a short video, he criticized the State government for permitting all the government employees, teachers, contract and out-sourcing working in boards, corporations and public sector employees of the community in the State to leave their workplace at 4 pm from March 2 to 31 to offer special prayers. The permission was given to offer prayers, except when their presence is required due to exigencies of services during the above period.

Raja Singh sought to know as to why the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was giving special preference to the community and permitting them to leave early to offer prayers. But when it comes to the festivals of other communities, the same facility was denied to them. The State government would not give special reliefs to the employees of other communities during their festivals to celebrate on a spectacular note, he said.

“Is it justified?” he asked. “We have seen the eight Nizam in the form of former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for indulging in appeasement politics and now we are seeing the ninth Nizam in the form of Revanth Reddy,” he said.

The appeasement of politics of the Congress government should be an eye opener for the people of Telangana for supporting it during the elections and bringing it to the power. Whether it is in Karnataka or Telangana, the Congress government was indulging in appeasement politics, he said.
