Rajalinga Murthy's murder: Activist’s kin name former former BRS MLA, demand CID probe
In a new development in the murder of activist N. Rajalinga Murthy, his family members on Saturday lodged a complaint naming former BRS legislator Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and former Bhupalpally municipal vice-chairman Hari Babu, alleging that they had influenced the assailants to kill the activist on the pretext of land disputes.

Hyderabad: In a new development in the murder of activist N. Rajalinga Murthy, his family members on Saturday lodged a complaint naming former BRS legislator Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and former Bhupalpally municipal vice-chairman Hari Babu, alleging that they had influenced the assailants to kill the activist on the pretext of land disputes.
The family members also demanded a CID investigation in order to bring out the facts and nail all those involved in the murder conspiracy..
Murthy's daughter Nagavelli Nitya said, "We suspect that my father’s killers were influenced of BRS leaders a day before the petition filed by my father was listed for hearing in the High Court. As my father trying to expose their alleged illegal activities, some BRS leaders started harassing my father by registering fake and false cases against him."
They also demanded a CID investigation into the case if Bhupalpally police failed to act tough against the culprits.
Meanwhile, Bhupalpally police reportedly took 10 persons, including the key suspects, into custody and questioned them. The police also collected phone call data and WhatsApp chats of these suspects.
