Rajiv Rahadari JAC seeks revision of road widening plan

On the matter of road widening, Anudeep Durishetty promised to escalate the concerns to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Rajiv Rahadari Properties Owners JAC met with Hyderabad collector Anudeep Durishetty on Saturday to urge a revision of the planned road widening project. The group requested that the expansion be limited to 100 feet instead of the proposed 200 feet, arguing that the larger scale would displace thousands of families and exacerbate the hardship faced by residents.

Delegates highlighted that the ongoing road expansion has already forced many tenants to vacate their homes, while a recent hike in property tax has added to the financial strain on affected individuals. JAC member Satish Gupta called for an immediate rollback of the property tax increase and a suspension of its collection until the road widening is completed. He also raised concerns about the electricity department pressuring residents to install individual transformers.

Collector Durishetty assured the delegation that he would consult with the electricity officials and address the property tax issue. On the matter of road widening, he promised to escalate the concerns to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
