RERA Orders Saket to Resolve Buyers’ Issues
Residents say key services are missing, and safety issues remain unresolved.

Hyderabad: A group of senior citizens from the Saket Pranamam housing project has approached the Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), raising concerns about delays in promised amenities, poor maintenance, and possession issues by the developer, Saket Engineers.
The residents, under the Saket Pranamam Senior Citizens Friends Association, filed a complaint stating that essential services like drinking water, electricity, and gas connections were either missing or delayed. They also pointed out issues such as rainwater leakage in common areas, which they say pose safety risks for the elderly.
The hearing took place on January 29, 2025, during which both the residents and the developer presented their arguments. The residents alleged that the developer had formed a cooperative society without acknowledging their association, leaving their concerns unheard.
In response, Saket Engineers claimed that the society was formed legally with the approval of most flat owners. They attributed the construction delays to the Covid-19 pandemic and said that minor issues raised by the residents were being addressed. The company also questioned whether the association filing the complaint truly represented all the residents.
After hearing both the parties, RERA directed the developer to resolve the outstanding issues and provide greater transparency regarding maintenance charges. While it did not officially recognise the complainants’ association as the sole valid one, it stressed the need for inclusive and fair management within the cooperative society.
