Revanth Cautions Ministers, Party MLAs on Performance Reports

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has cautioned his ministers and party MLAs to review and improve their performance, according to official sources.

During a meeting held at his residence here on Wednesday, where party leaders gathered to extend New Year greetings, the Chief Minister revealed that he had obtained performance reports of all ministers, MLAs, and himself over the past year.
The Chief Minister stated that the survey reports were largely positive regarding the one-year-old Congress government’s performance. He said the surveys were done to evaluate governance and highlight areas for improvement. He stressed that these evaluations were critical for achieving the party’s long-term goals.
“I have changed myself after reviewing my performance over the past one year. I want ministers and MLAs also to change after going through their performance reports,” Revanth Reddy reportedly said during an informal interaction with the leaders. He said that these assessments would guide the government in enhancing its performance over the next four years.
The Chief Minister underlined the importance of the upcoming local body elections, urging ministers, MLAs, and party leaders to work in close coordination to secure a victory for the Congress. “The elections for local bodies are crucial for the party. It is essential for all stakeholders to work together to achieve better results,” he said.
He assured the MLAs that he would dedicate more time to addressing issues in their constituencies. He encouraged them to bring unresolved matters to his attention for prompt resolution.
Reflecting on the government’s first year in office, the Chief Minister noted that no major errors were committed knowingly and that any unintentional mistakes had been swiftly addressed. This proactive approach, he said, demonstrated the Congress government's commitment to efficient governance.
The Chief Minister highlighted significant achievements, including the smooth handling of teacher promotions and transfers, a process avoided by the previous BRS government due to potential challenges. He commended his government for completing this task efficiently without causing disruptions.
Revanth Reddy asked ministers and MLAs to ensure transparency in selecting Anganwadi workers and ration shop dealers. He emphasised the importance of considering recommendations from local party cadres in the selection process while adhering to a fair and transparent process through online applications. He also reiterated the need for accountability and transparency in all government operations, cautioning against irregularities.
