Revanth needs to focus on saving his chair, not worry about BRS: Harish
Hyderabad:Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Wednesday advised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to stop worrying about the fate of BRS leaders and instead pay some attention to the goings on around him involving those close to him so that he can protect his seat and post.
Harish Rao also accepted the Chief Minister’s invite during a chat with reporters on Tuesday for a walk along Musi river saying “KTR and I will join the CM. Just the two of us will come and let him come without his gunmen. He can pick the time and the place for starting the Musi walk. What Revanth is doing is implementing KCR’s vision for Musi?”
He also said the BRS is not against the Musi reinvigoration. “He wanted suggestions, so here they are. Let him give a better rehabilitation package than the one we gave for Mallannasagar oustees, use the land in Gachibowli recovered from IMG to build homes for Musi oustees and bring Godavari water to Osmansagar and Himayatsagar reservoirs from Kondapochamma reservoir which will cost Rs 1,100 crore instead of the Rs 7,000 crore he said yesterday for bringing water from Mallannasagar which is much further away,” he added.
The senior BRS leader, during an informal chat with reporters, poured scorn on the Chief Minister saying Revanth Reddy’s claims are scaring parents and they are turning off the television sets at their homes so children don’t start believing that Bharkanangal dam is in Telangana, that Hyderabad is surrounded on three sides by sea, and aeroplanes are sold in Dilsukhnagar. “These are some of the things Revanth has said and kids might just believe them to be true as it is the Chief Minister saying them,” Harish Rao said.
He said Revanth Reddy should focus on his own position and the chair as some of his ministers appear to be doing things that could spell trouble for the Chief Minister. One minister went and met with the Governor, another flies to Delhi, and one is upset that he is not getting a helicopter for rides.
“Revanth Reddy, instead of focusing on BRS leaders and KCR, me or KTR, should ensure he stays safe in his position and does not score a self goal. We want him to be CM for five years,” Harish Rao said.
