Revanth Reddy flays RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat; Demands stern action

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday demanded that action must be initiated against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for his remarks that India got true independence after the Ram Temple in Ayodhya was consecrated.

Extending support to the views of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi that Bhagwat’s comments amounted to treason at the inauguration of All India Congress Committee (AICC) in New Delhi on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy, while interacting with media persons Delhi, said the RSS didn’t fight for freedom.

“They didn’t sacrifice their lives for freedom. Therefore, they aren’t ready to accept it. Rahul Gandhi said that they (RSS) don’t have anything to do with freedom. If Mohan Bhagwat had said anything against the Constitution then actions should be taken,” Revanth Reddy said.

He and his Cabinet colleagues were in New Delhi to take part in the inauguration of the headquarters of AICC in New Delhi on Wednesday.
