Revanth Reddy inaugurates Amgen innovation site at Hi Tec City
Amgen will invest 200 million US dollars this year

Hyderabad: America's largest biotechnology company - Amgen launched its new technology and innovation site in Hyderabad on Monday.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the Amgen innovation site at its office near Hitech City. Amgen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Broadway, US Consul General Jennifer Larsen, Amgen India Representative Som Chattopadhyay, Amgen India Managing Director Naveen Gullapalli are also present in the inauguration ceremony.
As part of expansion, the company will invest 200 million US dollars (about Rs. 1600 crore) this year. The company is also planning for more investments in the coming years to provide job opportunities in the biopharma sector.
Amgen is expanding operations in Telangana to further develop its drug portfolio and the new site offers digital capabilities with AI and data science.
