Telangana Will Contribute 10 % India’s GDP, Asserts CM

Seeks Modi’s help towards achieving his vision Viksit Bharat -2047

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assured Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Telangana despite having less than 3 per cent of the nation’s population was ready to contribute to 10 per cent of the national gross domestic product (GDP) to achieve his vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. To achieve this, Revanth Reddy sought Modi’s support and the expeditious clearance of pending proposals for developmental projects by convening a special review meeting.

The Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister’s Office to form a special task force for fast-tracking approvals for pending projects, through a single window. The CM said he had met Modi himself and Union ministers several times, seeking help to approve pending project proposals.

Proposals covering the Musi project, Metro Rail expansion, radial roads and the 12-lane expressway connecting Hyderabad to Machilipatnam were pending, he said, at an event at HICC where Modi launched several projects aimed at Telangana.

“I am confident that we will reach a $1 trillion economy by 2034. I hope that we will reach a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Just as the-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh blessed you then, you should also bless the people of Telangana,” he said.

Revanth Reddy recalled the statements of Union ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay about the magnanimity of Modi and said the people of Telangana were hopeful that the Prime Minister would approve all pending works and proposals pertaining to the development of the state.

Praising Modi for unveiling the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision to promote India as a developed country, the Chief Minister said that Telangana had joined as a partner with the same spirit. “We are confident you will contribute to our Telangana Rising strongly and we will make Viksit Bharat dreams come true with our hard work,” he noted.
