CM Slams Nadda, Dares Modi and KCR on Crop Loan Waiver

NALAGONDA: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on BJP national president J.P. Nadda, while dismissing allegations that the Congress government in Telangana had failed to fulfill election promises in its first year in office.

Speaking at a public meeting in Nalgonda as part of the ‘Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu’ celebrations on Saturday, Reddy issued strong rebuttals and threw challenges to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on the achievements of Congress government.

"Nadda garu, you came to our 'adda' and apokw nonsense. Has any BJP-ruled state filled 55,143 government jobs in a single year? Even Modi, in his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister for over 12 years and Prime Minister for 11 years, has not achieved this. If proven otherwise, I will apologise publicly in the streets of Delhi," Reddy said. He also accused state BJP leaders G. Kishan Reddy and Etala Rajendar of parroting BRS leaders’ K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao's criticism of the Congress government.

Labeling the BRS as a "party of bandits," he cautioned Nadda against aligning with BRS leaders. "If you board the bandits' vehicle, you too will be treated as one," he remarked.

The Chief Minister threw a direct challenge to Modi and Chandrashekar Rao with "Prove that any state under BJP or BRS has waived such a massive amount of farmers' loans in a single year. If proven otherwise, I will bow my head and apologise. If not, the BJP must recognise our achievements and congratulate us."
He criticised Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to act as a constructive opposition leader and reminded the audience of Congress’s robust opposition role during the BRS regime, even with only five MLAs.

The Chief Minister vowed to proceed with the Musi River rejuvenation project despite opposition from the BJP and BRS.

"This project is crucial to free Nalgonda from river pollution, and no political hurdles can deter us from achieving our mission," he declared.
Revanth Reddy also addressed long-standing developmental issues in Nalgonda district, pledging to complete stalled projects like Brahmana Vellamla and Srisailam left bank canal.

"Nalgonda, which has been neglected for decades, will become a model for irrigation and development under Congress rule," he promised.

He accused the BRS government of fiscal mismanagement, stating that Telangana went from a surplus budget of ₹16,000 crore to a debt of ₹seven lakh crore under their rule.

"Our government has already paid ₹65,000 crore towards these debts within a year," he added.
He urged farmers to cultivate fine rice varieties, promising an additional ₹500 bonus per quintal over the MSP. He noted that during the recent kharif season, farmers produced 53 crore metric tonnes of paddy across 66 lakh acres.
The Chief Minister highlighted educational reforms, including increase in cosmetic charges for hostel students by 40 per cent and plans to enhance the quality of education for 31 lakh students across 26,000 government schools.
He urged the people to compare the Congress government’s performance with the previous administration.

"Telangana is on the path of progress and we will not allow baseless criticisms to derail our focus on public welfare," he affirmed.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, and Congress leaders also addressed the gathering.
