Revanth thanks people, party activists


HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy thanked people of the state for the Congress victories in the Lok Sabha elections and the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly by-poll.

In a media statement here on Tuesday, Reddy said that the people have acknowledged the performance of the Congress government in delivering poll promises within 100 days of coming to power and have blessed the state by backing the party in the Lok Sabha elections.

"Heartfelt gratitude to Telangana state people for offering their blessings to the 100-day performance of Congress government and giving a big mandate to the Congress, which won eight Lok Sabha seats and the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly seat," Reddy said.

"People’s blessings gave us a big boost and increased our confidence levels. It has encouraged us to deliver more effective governance. The election results have once again proved that people of the state are with the Congress party," the Chief Minister added.

He congratulated and thanked all the party activists, leaders and well-wishers, who worked relentlessly for the party’s fine showing.

"It is a victory of all our activists. The party will recognise their hard work," he said.

Stating that the election code will end on Wednesday, Reddy said that the ‘people's government’ will start working hard for their welfare and well-being.

"We will provide excellent governance that is aimed at the development of the state and welfare of the people. We will deliver Praja Palana in the coming days and win the hearts of Telangana people forever”, he said.
