Rituals at Tadbund Temple to Continue Uninterrupted: Top Endowment Official

Hyderabad:Regional joint commissioner for endowments Rama Krishna on Thursday reassured devotees that the traditional rituals and programmes conducted at the Tadbund Hanuman temple every Saturday would continue without any disruption.

Putting paid to rumours that are doing the rounds, he urged devotees not to believe misleading claims that the government intends to interfere with temple traditions.

“The government respects the customs followed in temples for years together and it has no intention of disrupting them,” he said.

Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sriganesh Narayanan pledged his commitment to safeguarding the Saturday rituals and pujas at the temple. Speaking to the media, he warned that attempts by political groups to exploit religious sentiments for political gains would be met with strict government action.

“No political agenda should target temples for divisive purposes,” he cautioned.

The controversy arose after objections were reportedly raised by Pushpagiri Peethadhipathi about the bhajan satsang sessions held every Saturday between 9 pm and 1 am. These objections sparked concerns among devotees, which were further exacerbated by misinformation circulating on social media. Clarifying the matter, officials stated that the government is committed to upholding the sentiments of devotees and ensuring that all rituals and events at the temple proceed as usual.

Rama Krishna warned against the spread of false information on social media, stating that strict action will be taken against all culprits responsible for such misleading propaganda.
