RTC staff unhappy with govt: JAC

Hyderabad:The RTC employees’ Joint Action Committee on Tuesday submitted memoranda to district collectors, including Anudeep Durishetty of Hyderabad, seeking the restoration of trade unions in the corporation.

Union leaders expressed their disappointment with the Congress government for failing to fulfill its election promises after 11 months in power. “It still has to pay the dues of the Mahalakshmi scheme.

Instead of buying buses, it is attempting to privatise the RTC by introducing electric vehicles,” said JAC chairman Eduru Venkanna. JAC vice-chairman Thomas Reddy also called for a raise in allowances and the payment of pending salaries.
