Rushcare Hospital gets notices for unethical practices

Hyderabad:The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) on Friday served notices to the management and medical superintendent of Rushcare Hospital in LB Nagar for unethical practices.

The hospital allegedly sponsored the ‘18th annual meeting of the Sushruta Rural Doctors Association’, a group of unqualified practitioners, on December 24, in Nalgonda.

The TGMC demanded an explanation within 10 days and warned that failure to respond within the stipulated time would result in coercive action.

TGMC vice chairman Dr. G. Srinivas stated that it is both illegal and unethical for qualified doctors and hospital management to promote or provide commissions to fake doctors, such as rural medical practitioners and private medical practitioners.

He emphasised that many hospital managements are engaging agents to market their services by encouraging such unqualified individuals.

TGMC public relations committee chairman Dr Naresh Kumar urged the public not to consult fake doctors in villages and towns. He said such so called doctors often worsen health conditions or create new complications.
