SCR allocates 40 railway rakes for coal transportation
Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) general manager Arun Kumar Jain has announced that SCR is providing 40 dedicated railway rakes daily to carry coal from Singareni Collieries to thermal power stations as demand for coal is expected to rise in the near future, said N. Balram, chairman and managing director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Balram met the SCR general manager at Rail Nilayam on Saturday. The CMD said 40 railway rakes are required to transport the coal as per the agreement reached with thermal power stations in the state. Balaram and Arun Kumar Jain have highlighted that the railways and Singareni Collieries have been working with perfect coordination to meet the energy needs of the state.
