Scrap all Adani contracts in Telangana, demands BRS
HYDERABAD: The BRS on Friday demanded that the Congress state government scrap all agreements it had entered into with the industrialist Gautam Adani’s group of companies, with party working president K.T. Rama Rao asking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi direct Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to do so.
He claimed that the state government had entered into business agreements worth Rs 12,400 crores with Adani, including investments in green energy, data centers, and cement industries.
Addressing a press conference Rama Rao said while Rahul Gandhi keeps attacking Adani at the national level, in Telangana the Chief Minister was cozying up to the industrialist.
The BRS leader demanded that the Congress government return the Rs 100 crore-donation from the Adani group for the Skill University, if the Congress leadership believed in its own rhetoric about the industrialist’s alleged corruption.
Rama Rao claimed that the previous BRS government had declined all proposals from the Adani group and consistently opposed the privatisation of public resources.
