Secunderabad Marks Guru Gobind Singh’s 358th Prakash Purab

Hyderabad: The 358th Prakash Purab celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, the tenth Sikh Guru, concluded on Sunday after grand celebrations.

Prayers and hymns at Classic Gardens, Balamrai, Secunderabad, organised by the Prabhandak Committee of Gurdwara Saheb Secunderabad, marked the event.

The Vishaal Deewan began at 11 am, and continued till 3.30 pm. The programme featured recitations of Gurbani Keertans and Kathas by renowned Ragi Jathas, including Bhai Sarabjeet Singh (Patna Saheb), Bhai Jaskaran Singh (Patiala), and Gyani Jagdev Singh. They emphasised Guru Gobind Singhji’s teachings of peace, communal harmony, and protection of the weak.

Committee president S. Baldev Singh Bagga, general secretary S. Jagmohan Singh, and vice-president S. Harpreet Singh Gulati highlighted the Guru’s message of unity, brotherhood, and national integration.

After the prayers, devotees were served the traditional Guru-Ka-Langar, promoting equality and togetherness. The event concluded on a harmonious note, with devotees urged to follow the Guru’s teachings in today’s challenging times.
