Senior MIM Leader Virasat Rasool Khan Passed Away

Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen senior leader and former MLA Virasat Rasool Khan passed away due to health problems on Tuesday. He was 71. He is survived by his wife and their son.

He was associated with the AIMIM for close to four decades. Khan was first elected MLA from the Charminar Assembly constituency in 1989. Later, he was elected from Nampally in 2009.

In a ‘X’ account, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed sadness over the demise of Virasat Rasool Khan and recalled his long association with the party. “He was lovingly called Munnu Nawab. My prayers are with his family and friends,” Owaisi said.
