Raja Singh wants BJP to give free hand to next state chief
At a time when the BJP’s central leadership is set to announce a president for its Telangana unit, Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Goshamahal legislator T. Raja Singh came up with their own opinions on the issue.
The former said that those campaigning actively in the social media would not get priority in the party, while Singh suggested that the Central leadership choose someone president drawing from its own feedback and not rely on the state committee.
Sanjay claimed that he was not in the race for the post, which he had held earlier.
Singh expressed concern that the party has not rewarded a number of senior leaders who have rendered yeomen service to boost the party prospects.
“Though there are many nominated posts in central government undertakings, senior leaders and dedicated workers who went to jail and took part in party programmes remain largely ignored. Groupism damaged the prospects of the party,” he said.
Singh felt that if the new party president is given a free hand, the BJP will come to power in Telangana.
