Hyderabad: A sub-inspector of the Borabanda police station on Friday was purportedly seen banging the door of what is allegedly a belt shop, according to a video uploaded on social media platforms.
The SI was reportedly demanding the closure of a belt shop, which are illegal liquor outlets, reportedly being run by a woman.
A woman comes out in response to the sub-inspector hitting the door. The woman alleged that the SI had harassed her.
However, SR Nagar ACP Venkatramana clarified that the police were raiding the place as it was illegal and were only doing their job. The ACP said that around 136 bottles of alcohol were recovered from the shop, adding that the woman had many cases registered against her.
