Singer R.P. Patnaik Files Complaint After Son Assaulted by College Senior
Hyderabad: Renowned singer R.P. Patnaik on Friday reached out to the Raidurgam police, alleging his son was being constantly assaulted by a senior in college. Subsequently, a case was registered.
According to Raidurgam inspector Ch Venkanna, the victim has been identified as Vaishnav, studying in ICFAI. His senior, Shyam, would allegedly assault him. After he complained to the principal about the same on one occasion, the matter was settled.
However, on Thursday evening, while the two were on a bus, Shyam reportedly picked a fight with Vaishnav and bit his ear, leading to him suffering severe bleeding injuries.
After Patnaik reached out to the police, they immediately shifted Vaishnav to a hospital for treatment. The inspector said that notices would be served on Shyam.
