SIT Needed to Find Illegal Immigrants: Raja Singh
Calls for crackdown on illegal immigrants in Hyderabad, citing national security and law-and-order concerns.

Hyderabad: BJP Goshamahal MLA T. Raja Singh urged the state government to constitute a Special Investigations Team (SIT) under a senior IPS officer to nab illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims living in Telangana.
Referring to recent incidents of illegal Bangladeshis being detained in Hyderabad and their involvement in illegal activities, Raja Singh on 'X' said the police's investigation has found that illegal immigrants from Bangladesh have made Hyderabad their first zone of shelter after crossing into the country from the Bengal border.
"They are easily getting Aadhaar and other residential certificates here and spreading to other major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. Due to vote bank politics, Hyderabad’s Old City has become a stronghold for illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. Sex rackets and cases of human trafficking are linked to them," the MLA said.
"The illegal infiltration is not only a national security threat but a serious attack on the future of Hyderabad as they can pose a serious threat to local Muslims in the old city. The Bangladeshis are now spreading to several new areas in the city," he said.
