Adilabad: Peddapalli police on Friday arrested Vinod Majhi, 28, for raping a six-year-old girl and killing her at a rice mill where he worked in Sultanabad mandal in Peddapalli district on Friday.
According to Ramagundam police commissioner M. Srinivasulu, the incident took place on the night of June 13. The accused, worker at a rice mill, took advantage of a power outage, kidnapped the minor who girl was sleeping along with her family members outside the room and assaulted her.
After the crime, the accused fled from the spot. The police collected details about Majhi, traced and arrested him. The body of the victim was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, the commissioner said.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
