Smart Parking Lot Among Several Proposals Gets GHMC Nod
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) standing committee on Thursday approved the construction of mechanised multi-level smart car and motorcycle parking at KBR Park (Entry-I) in Jubilee Hills.
The facility on a pilot basis will come up on a design, built, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) model with the works being executed by Navanirman Associates for a concession period of 10 years.
The facility can accommodate 72 cars and will be built on a land parcel admeasuring 405 square metres. Around 20 per cent of space on the same land parcel will be marked exclusively for two-wheelers.
The committee approved 14 proposals including the multi-level parking. Some of the other proposals approved included administrative sanction of Rs 2.98 crore for procurement of 15,500 new LED street rights, construction of pet animal crematorium in Gopanpally and rejuvenation of Kaldamma Kunta in Hafeezpet. The Kaldamma Kunta will be rejuvenated by Malligavad Foundation as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The proposals to construct injection bore well recharge structures and rainwater harvesting structures at various parks in Serilingampally zone were also approved in addition to construction of multipurpose function hall in NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills with Rs 3.85 crore.
The GHMC will also widen and develop a 100-ft road from Bandlaguda Junction to Errakunta junction under Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) with an estimated amount of Rs 20 crore by acquiring 44 properties. This proposal was also approved by the GHMC Standing Committee. The proposed road widening from Lothkunta Railway Bridge to Alwal Road over Bridge (RoB) by acquiring 107 properties was also approved.
