Somber Scenes at Osmania Hospital as Families Mourn Victims of Shamshabad ORR Tragedy

Officials said the bodies were kept in the mortuary freezer and post‑mortems would be conducted on Saturday morning.

Hyderabad: The bodies of six people who died in the Shamshabad Outer Ring Road accident were brought to Osmania General Hospital on Friday, where family members and relatives gathered in grief.

Relatives from Rajanna Sircilla district, the native place of the deceased, reached the city late in the evening. Many broke down at the mortuary, struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.

“We still cannot believe this has happened. They left home to go to Yadagirigutta and were returning. They left very early in the morning and were probably tired while coming back. We never thought we would see them like this,” said Murali Ram Mohan, a relative, speaking to Deccan Chronicle.

Hospital staff and police personnel were present to manage the situation. Officials said the bodies were kept in the mortuary freezer and post‑mortems would be conducted on Saturday morning.

The atmosphere around the mortuary was sombre, with cries of grief echoing through the corridors. The accident has left the family devastated, their lives altered in a moment.
