Suryapet: Telangana Southern Power Distribution Corporation chairman and managing director Musharraf Ali Faruqui on Wednesday said measures would be taken up to restore electricity supply to the areas where sub-stations were submerged in floodwaters.
He inspected sub-stations at Ramapram and MB Gudem in Siryapet district and gave suggestions to the engineers for their repair.
Musharraf Ali said that four sub-stations were submerged and 2,127 electricity poles collapsed and 319 transformers needed to be repaired, he added. The engineers of the corporation were striving to restore electricity supply in these areas by taking up repairing works on war foot.
