Hundreds of devotees flocked to Shiva temples on the auspicious day, offering special prayers and waiting in long queues to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva
Adilabad: Mancherial MLA K. Premsagar Rao and other Congress leaders performed a special puja at the green crematorium in Mancherial town on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Wednesday. Priests conducted rituals including Maha Rudrabhi Shekam, Rudra Parayana, and Shiva Archana at the crematorium, while two DCC presidents, Kokkirala Surekha and Premsagar Rao, also participated in the pujas.

At Esgaon in Kagaznagar mandal, many worshippers gathered at the Shiva Mallanna temple, and Asifabad MLA Kova Laxmi performed puja at the ancient Shiva temple in Wankidi. Devotees also thronged the Bugga Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple in Bellampalli, the Kadili Papeshwaralayam temple in Dilawarpur mandal, and a Shiva temple in Godisherala in the Dasthurabad mandal. In addition, Adivasis visited the Someshwara temple at Kuntala water, while others performed special pujas at the Shiva temple in Korata and took a holy dip in the Penganga River in the Bhoraj mandal.
