Yadadri-Bhongir:Special arrangements would be made at Vratha mandalam where Satyanarayana Swamy vrathams will be conducted during auspicious Kartheeka masam from November 2 to December 1, at the Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple at Yadadri.
Temple executive officer A. Bhaskara Rao said that 18,253 couples had participated in the vratham during Kartheeka masam last year. He said some persons had engaged Veda pundits and had separately performed the vratham in the mandapam. This would not be allowed this year. “We should not categorise devotees at the temples,” he explained.
He said that free valet parking facility would be launched at vratham mandapam from November 2. Tri-cycles and wheel chairs would be made available for the physically challenged and aged devotees. A tent would be set up outside vratha mandapam for family members of the couples who would participate in sathyanarayana Swamy vrathams. Two children would be allowed in vratha mandapam along with the couple, he added.
He said that there would be no hike in the `800 ticket price for couples for the Satyanarayana vratham during Kartheeka masam. He said that Sathyanarayana Swamy vrathams would be conducted in six batches from 7 am to 6 pm.
