Stakeholders’ Convention on Telangana’s Clean and Green Energy Policy on Jan. 3

Hyderabad: The State government is organizing a stakeholders convention on Telangana’s Clean and Green Energy Policy-2024 on January 3 at 11 am at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Madhapur here.

All important stakeholders across the country will participate in the stakeholders meeting to be chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, according to a statement.

Telangana is one of the fastest growing States in the country and boasts a diverse economy spanning across various sectors. With all the progressive initiatives of the State, Telangana’s peak power demand is projected to increase from 15,623 MW in 2023-24 to 20,968 MW in 2027-28 and to 31,809 MW in 2034-35.

The energy requirement would grow from 85,644 MUs in 2023-24 to 1,15,347 MU’s in 2027-28 and to 1,50,040 MUs in 2034-35. Further, Telangana aims to achieve this target in a clean and sustainable manner by adding 20,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. To meet this rising demand and to align with the country’s goal of green energy, Telangana government proposes a new Clean and Green Energy Policy.
