State Formation Day Celebrated Across Telangana
Hyderabad: While Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy presided over the official Telangana Formation Day festivities at Parade Ground, the day was celebrated at different offices across the state by hoisting the National Flag.
Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan unfurled the National Flag and took the salute at Raj Bhavan's historic Durbar Hall. Addressing the gathering, the Governor highlighted the significance of the day, and said, "We must pledge to contribute to the development of Telangana and our nation, Bharat."
The Governor inspected the guard of honour and extended his best wishes to the officers, staff, police, and security personnel of Raj Bhavan.
Chief Justice Alok Aradhe unfurled the National Flag at the Telangana High Court. Judges and advocates participated in the programme. The High Court Advocates Association celebrated the day at the association hall.
Chief Secretary A. Shanti Kumari unfurled the National Flag at Dr B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat. Many senior officials including special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries, along with Secretariat officers and staff participated in the event.
At the DGP office. Multizone II IGP G. Sudhir Babu unfurled the National Flag. Assistant AIG M. Ramana Kumar, Chief Security Officer Ch. Yogeswara Rao, Stores DSP A. Venugopal, DGP office staff and others participated along with Intelligence office officials, staff.
At the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC), Banjara Hills, Parimala Hana Nutan, joint commissioner of police, administration, unfurled the National Flag. Senior officials participated in the celebrations.
Nalgonda collector Dasari Harichandana and SP Chandana Deepti participated in the Formation Day events in Nalgonda. In Suryapet, collector S. Venkat Rao said that the welfare schemes taken up by the state government were being effectively implemented.
At the Institution of Lokayukta at Basheerbagh, Lokayukta Justice C.V. Ramulu unfurled the National Flag. Dr V. Niranjan Rao, Upa-Lokayukta, officers and staff members attended the programme.
At the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Gachibowli, tourism director K. Nikhila unfurled the National Flag.
Tributes were paid to martyrs who laid down their lives during the Telangana movement, at an event at Bus Bhavan. TGRTC MD V.C. Sajjanar unfurled the National Flag. Chief operating officer Dr Ravinder, finance adviser Vijaya Pushfa, CEIT Rajasekhar, CTM (commercial) Sridhar, CPM Ushadevi, CCOS Vijayabhaskar and others participated.
Osmania University hosted a grand ceremony where in-charge Vice Chancellor M. Dana Kishore unfurled the National Flag. Addressing the gathering, he stressed the importance of acknowledging remaining challenges and ensuring the fruits of development reach all corners of the state.
