Stones pelted at BRS leaders’ vehicles at Khammam
Khammam: Tension prevailed when unidentified people attacked the vehicles of BRS leaders T. Harish Rao, Sabitha Indra Reddy and G. Jagadish Reddy with stones as they went to the flood-affected Manchikantinagar in Khammam on Tuesday.
The BRS leaders had gone to distribute groceries to the residents. A group of people tried to stop them and attacked their vehicles with stones.
BRS youth wing leader B Santhosh Reddy received injury on his leg in the incident. He has been shifted to a hospital in the town for treatment. The BRS leaders returned without visiting Manchikantinagar.
BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy alleged that police watched as silent spectators when a group of persons attacked their vehicles.
Reacting on the incident in “X”, BRS working president K.T Rama Rao said the attack highlighted the intolerance of the Congress leaders. He questioned as to whether distributing groceries to flood-affected people is wrong, he questioned.
He held Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy responsible for the attack on BRS leaders at Khammam.
The leaders of the minorities wing of the BRS lodged a complaint with the police commissioner of Khammam.
