Hyderabad:The scrutiny of nominations for the MLC election to Hyderabad Local Authorities' Constituency was completed on Monday. The contest will be between the BJP’s N. Goutham Rao and AIMIM’s Mirza Sayeed Ul Hassan Effendi.
The Congress has not filed its candidate and is supporting the AIMIM. The BRS, due to lack of strength in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, is also not contesting the election.
In total, four candidates filed their papers for this election and nomination of two Independent candidates were declared invalid as they submitted papers without mentioning the 10 proposers.
